"Invest Saudi" briefs KSA Business Ecosystem and Investment Opportunities

Riyadh, Jumada II 4, 1443-Jan 7, 2022, SPA-- As part of "Saudi Day" events at Expo 2020 Dubai, "Invest Saudi", overseen by the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA) held the Saudi Arabia Business Briefing with the participation of a number of government agencies and major businesses to promote the Kingdom's ambitious strategy to attract investments, and shed light on investment opportunities and the key reforms of the Kingdom’s business ecosystem.

The Briefing hosted a range of domestic and foreign investors and businesses to discuss investment opportunities in various sectors, including tourism, heritage and culture, and the future of energy, technology and housing. Besides, the pavilions of the GCC countries and the G20 members attended the Briefing.

Reflecting on the event, Faysal Hamza, deputy Minister for Investment Development at MISA, said that Vision 2030 had fast-tracked the creation of new investment sectors, whilst rapid technology change had been preparing them, making the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia one of the most sought-after places in the world to invest.

Hamza pointed out that the combination of a growing economy, unprecedented transformation and a commitment to public and private collaboration means that businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have the chance to pioneer sectors and transform industries.

Waseem Khashan, Deputy Minister for Investment Promotion at MISA, added that the Saudi Arabia Business Briefing had provided an opportunity for investors to learn more about the business ecosystem in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as ways to strengthen collaboration with investors to ensure positive investment experience and its long-term success.

During the sessions of the Saudi Arabia Business Briefing, MISA discussed a set of investment issues, as the Briefing involved an overview of the Kingdom’s economy and enhancement of its investment potentials. Meanwhile, with the participation of speakers from Ministry of Tourism, National Center for Privatization, Diriyah Gate Development Authority, National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, NEOM, ROSHN and the Red Sea Development Company, the other sessions dealt with opportunities for sustainable tourism investment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, investment in the industrial and logistics sector, and the future of entertainment and housing sector innovation.

In addition, bilateral meetings were held with businesses and investors to shed light on available investment opportunities and explore untapped investment opportunities.

It should be pointed out that the Saudi Arabia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai presented performances during the Saudi Day to introduce the Kingdom’s culture and history, including cultural, popular and folklore performances, in addition to many events that reflect the civilization of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Besides, the Pavilion shed light on the promising investment opportunities and the reforms of business ecosystem, and held meetings with businesses and investors.
