Home to the only bauxite mine in the Middle East, which produces approximately 5 million tons of bauxite contributing to the production of 1.8 million tons of aluminum in the Kingdom in 2020. With bauxite reserves of 183.4 million metrics tons, Qassim presents unparalleled investment opportunities in this booming sector. Specifically, Qassim is a worldwide date producer, producing approximately 370,000 tons per year with 12,000 date farms across the region producing 13 different date products. To develop and support camel breeding production, the region has established the world’s largest camel hospital.
